Ancient farm in the province of Pavia
I Doria is a winery with a history of more than 150 years that begins in 1800 with the cultivation of fine vines. Today, this winemaking tradition continues driven by the values of tradition and the novelties of modernity that come together in order to cultivate the best grapes of the Pavese dei Doria area. A good wine is not only an excellent accompaniment for lunches and dinners, but also many beneficial properties. Find out more about the topic ...

Oltrepò Pavese and the winemaking tradition

Volpara , located on the right bank of the Versa Valley, is the home of Moscato in Oltrepò and, rightly, “Il Poggio” has made this vine its strong point by producing it in three versions: lively ( Il Volpara ), still (Moscato Secco) and passito (Rosolio di Volpara) with the grapes drying on racks. Also interesting are the choices of producing pure Riesling Renano , a vine capable of producing great wines but often difficult to understand for Italian consumers due to its great freshness and strong minerality, and that of producing the still Bonarda “Vigna Fornace” with 100% Croatina grapes obtained from a single vineyard located at 430 m above sea level. Croatina is a vine with medium-late ripening (usually around the first ten days of October) and is generally grown at slightly lower altitudes.

The Alessi family has lived at Poggio since the mid-1500s, so much so that the place bears their name. Traditions are the innovations of the past and therefore, if on the one hand it is essential to preserve what has been handed down to us, on the other it is not correct to reject a priori everything that is new or innovative. This is the line followed by Roberto Alessi in leading his company "il Poggio", in this first glimpse of the third millennium.
The company focuses on the quality of its wines and not on quantity, returning to viticulture one of the historic hills of Oltrepo "La Badalucca" in the nearby Municipality of Broni and, above all, producing wines that enhance the vine and the terroir and managing to give a personal touch to its products.

MONFERRATO HORIZON
Monferrato: a word that contains history, legend and myth. There are multiple and hypothetical assumptions regarding the origin of the name: monx ferrax therefore fertile mountain; mun fra for iron bricks; mons ferratus for mountain planted with emmer.

Although different, they all lead back to some key words, still identifying this area today: the fertility of a land suited to agriculture.

The legend, which as such has no historical reference, sees as protagonists the deeds of a noble in love. He is Aleramo to whom Otto I, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, and father of Alasia, the beloved woman, will donate all the lands from the Tanaro river to the Orba river and up to the shores of the sea. This is wha Monferrato was and is.

Monferrato today is history and nature, a crossroads of knowledge and flavors where man and land are inextricably linked.

The Legacy of Di Camillo Wines
HEROES of Tradition and Native Vines

Since 1887, the Di Camillo family has stood as a proud symbol of Abruzzo’s winemaking soul — where the strength of the land meets the resilience of its people.

For over a century, Di Camillo Wines has remained faithful to its roots, crafting wines that are not only expressions of terroir, but tributes to a culture forged by time, hardship, and devotion. Each bottle tells the story of farmers who work the land with bare hands and hearts full of heritage — where sacrifice is not a burden, but a legacy to uphold.

At the heart of their mission lies a commitment few dare to pursue: the recovery and valorization of native grape varieties long forgotten by modern commerce. With passion and tenacity, Di Camillo has brought back to life the ancient souls of vines such as MONTONICO, PASSERINA, COCOCCIOLA and PECORINO, replanting not just vineyards, but identity.

Their wines are not just products. They are the voice of a territory — proud, intense, and authentic. With every glass, you taste the hills of Abruzzo, the salt of Adriatic breezes, the memory of ancestral harvests.

Di Camillo is more than a winery. It is a family, a story, a promise:
To never let tradition fade.
To honor the land,
And to bring the nobility of native Italian grapes to the world.

Barbanera Wines: A Legacy of Passion and Resilience

Through generations, the Barbanera family has transformed challenges into opportunities, preserving the rich heritage of their land while embracing innovation.

Their commitment to reviving indigenous grape varieties reflects a deep respect for the cultural tapestry of Italy. By nurturing native vines such as SANGIOVESE GROSSO and MALVASIA  Barbanera not only safeguards biodiversity but also reintroduces the world to the authentic flavors of Italian terroir.

Barbanera’s wines are more than just beverages; they are narratives of tradition, perseverance, and the harmonious blend of past and present. Each bottle is a testament to the family's journey—a journey marked by passion, sacrifice, and an enduring connection to the land.

Cantina Sampietrana: The Heart of Salento, The Soul of Tradition
In the sun-drenched lands of SOUTHERN PUGLIA, where the Adriatic breeze kisses ancient vineyards, Cantina Sampietrana stands as a proud guardian of history, sacrifice, and authentic Italian winemaking.

Founded in 1952, this cooperative was born from the hands and hearts of local farmers who believed that the land of San Pietro Vernotico had a voice — a voice that spoke through wine. For over seventy years, Sampietrana has honored this calling, turning tradition into legacy, and every harvest into a tribute to their people.

But what makes this winery truly heroic is its unwavering dedication to the recovery and revival of native Apulian grape varieties — those nearly lost to time and modern trends. Through tireless work in the vineyard and cellar, they have brought back to life the ancient richness of PRIMITIVO, NEGROAMARO, MALVASIA NERA, SUSUMANIELLO, and other forgotten jewels.

These aren’t just grapes. They are fragments of cultural identity — roots that bind past and future, stories written in tannin and sun.
And every bottle that leaves Sampietrana’s cellars carries this soul forward: bold, generous, unmistakably southern.

"Cantina Sampietrana is a community, a resistance, a celebration of land and labor. where history is not only preserved but poured into every glass"
Collesereno: is the Voice of a forgotten Land; in the silence of MOLISE, a whisper becomes a roar.

Nestled in the quiet hills of Molise, a region too often overlooked by maps and memory, Cantina Collesereno rises with pride — not only as a winery, but as a voice for a land long ignored by the modern world.

Collesereno is more than a name: it is a promise.
A promise to honor the soil, history, and soul of a place where time moves differently.
In this forgotten corner of Italy, the land still breathes with purity, and vines grow as they always have — untouched by trends, nurtured by memory.

Founded by hands that refused to give up, Collesereno represents a new generation of winemakers who don’t chase fame, but protect heritage.
Their mission is rooted in the revival of native Molisan grapes like TINTILIA, a noble varietal once nearly extinct, now reborn through sacrifice, patience, and devotion.

Each bottle is a testament to this quiet revolution — a declaration that Molise exists, speaks, and deserves to be tasted.

Collesereno doesn’t make wine for the spotlight BUT for those who seek depth, silence, and truth instead.
Wine that smells like wild herbs, tastes of iron-rich soil, and lingers like a memory you didn’t know you missed.

Because in a world that runs too fast Collesereno reminds us to listen to what is still and to drink what was ALMOST LOST .
